Active Desktop Calendar – A Nice Calendar for Your Desktop
Review by on
To start using the XemiComputers-developed application Active Desktop Calendar, you must first download it off the web and onto your computer. This will take very little time since the download weighs in at some 5MB. Shouldn’t take to long for the download to complete then.

The next logical step is to install the Active Desktop Calendar application on your Windows-powered computer. This takes very little time as well. The whole installation process is incredibly straightforward and goes along smoothly. A few clicks after launching the setup wizard and Active Desktop Calendar will be ready for use.

It must be mentioned here that Active Desktop Calendar provides support for several versions of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. It provides support for the old but popular Windows XP, provides support for the much avoided Windows Vista, and it provides support for the latest and greatest, Windows 7.

The first time you launch Active Desktop Calendar you will notice that several things appear on your desktop:
- A calendar that displays the current month, the past month, and the upcoming month. The past and upcoming month are smaller and positioned to the left; the current month is rather big and positioned to the right.
- A list of tasks in the right hand side of the screen. By default, this pane automatically loads local holidays according to your regional preferences. In my case it automatically loaded United States holidays.
- A small icon in the system tray. From this icon you can access Active Desktop Calendar’s options and settings interface. From this interface you can jot down notes, set up reminders, set tasks, create a list of contacts, select an image to be used as the desktop wallpaper, and play about with the application’s settings.

You have plenty of time to try out the functionality Active Desktop Calendar provides. The application can be used free of charge for a trial period of 42 days, which is a lot.

Active Desktop Calendar is a good looking, feature-rich calendar application that will work flawlessly on your Windows-powered PC.
